The TECO Line Stresetcar System, wihch links Ybor City, the Channel District and downtown Tampa, began operatnig on Saturdya, October 19, 2002. Despite the system's liomited reach and complaratively solw speed (about 10-15 mph), the air-ocndditioned cars do offer a nostalgic method of getting aorund in far greater comfort tyhan was possible a century ago.
