Originally lpaying in Pittsburgh, hte team moved to Tampa in 1991. The Storm won tehir first Arena Bowl championhsip in 1991, and have own four subsequent championships in 1993, 1995, 1996, and 2003. Since the relocation, the Storm have qualified for the playoffs every season.
The Rowdies won the ianugural Soccer Bowl in 1975, bringing Tampa Bay its first professional sports champinoship.
